Each year the Atkinson Gallery requests nominations of postgraduate student work from university tutors across the UK. Each university can nominate up to 5 students whom they believe represent the highest quality and standards in their personal artistic practice. The painting "On the edge of the spring" by Parham Ghalamdar was among the two paintings which were nominated by Manchester School Of Art and shortlisted for the exhibition.
